10 Stupidest Reasons Wrestlers Turned Heel

WWE.com

The purpose of any heel turn is to ensure that fans boo the sh*t out of wrestlers.

Keep that in mind throughout this list, because somebody (somewhere) actually believed that these reasons were solid enough to turn babyfaces bad. Of course, you know they're not - that's why you're here. You want to hear about some creative stupidity from the wrestling archives, and there's plenty of it to go around.

Motivation is everything when it comes to turning heel. Think about some of the best from industry history, then imagine how different things might've been had Shawn Michaels blasted Marty Jannetty for getting more lollipops as a child than he did, or how weird it would've been had Tommaso Ciampa turned on Johnny Gargano after losing a game of Mario Kart on Nintendo Switch.

Sounds bonkers, eh? Well, even those fanciful scenarios pale in comparison to some of the genuine head scratchers you're about to read. Basically, if you lose a silly competition, are a hygiene freak or just have nothing better to do that week, then you're turning rogue.

Why the hell not?
